Bradford Chamber applauds fibre broadband expansion
Bradford business leaders have welcomed the expansion of fibre optic broadband coverage in the city.

Horton Bank is the latest community to benefit from BT's £2.5 billion commercial rollout, with more than 9,500 homes and businesses in the area set to be upgraded by the end of spring 2014, reports the Telegraph and Argus.

Furthermore, the telecoms giant is planning to boost the availability of super-fast broadband in locations where it is already available or will be rolled out in the future. Bingley and Cullingworth are both in line to take advantage of this work.

Sandy Needham, Chief Executive of Bradford Chamber, said it is "great news" that Horton Bank telephone exchange is to be included in the rollout, which has already seen fibre broadband deployed across much of the city.

"Fast, reliable broadband makes it easier for people to make the most of the internet and all the opportunities it brings, and will be a welcome boost for our businesses," she added.
