Villages across Leicestershire are to receive improved access to superfast broadband.
Broadband boost for Leicestershire villages
Three villages in rural Leicestershire are to witness a considerable boost to broadband speeds in their area over the coming months.

Residents of Smeeton Westerby, Mowsley and South Kilworth are all set to benefit from the next phase of the county council's £16.7 million broadband delivery programme - with faster download rates meaning online services can be more easily used by both homeowners and businesses to make their lives easier.

Once installation of broadband services in these locales has been completed, the scheme will then focus on the rollout to communities in the surrounding area, including East Langton, Thorpe Langton, North Kilworth, Husbands Bosworth and Theddingworth.

Each of these villages is expected to see a significant rise in superfast broadband connectivity by the end of spring.

Harborough MP Sir Edward Garnier confirmed the superfast rollout plans in a written response to local publication the Harborough Mail.
