Broadband upgrades 'will benefit everyone'
The UK's broadband network improvements will benefit everyone in the country, by offering better services, information and delivery, it has been claimed.

Improving the UK's broadband network will benefit everyone, not just those in rural areas, it has been claimed.

Using the internet to perform daily tasks can be more cost-efficient for businesses as well as consumers, according to eDigitalResearch.

Technical director at the digital market research firm Shane Wright explained that improving the British broadband network enables better provision of services, information and delivery.

He explained: "It is especially important where transportation difficulties exist; either because users are remote or because they are older or cannot drive - which is more common in rural demographics."

The Broadband Delivery UK governmental body began managing the spend of the £1 billion Next Generation Fund last week, and will help with the delivery of broadband improvements across the country by 2017.
