BT will use London 2012 Live Sites across the country to help spread a little love on Valentine's Day.

The telecoms giant will transform the large screens into "love sites" that will show romantic messages sent in as tweets, text messages, photos and emails.

These will be shown on Saturday and Sunday (February 12th and 13th 2011) from 11:00 to 18:00 GMT and between 10:00 and 18:00 on Monday.

Live Sites are run in partnership by the home broadband provider, local authorities, the BBC and the London 2012 team. They are located in some of the UK's biggest cities, including Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Manchester and Portsmouth.

Suzi Williams, group marketing and brand director at BT, described the initiative as "a great testament to how the power of communication can bring people together".

Clint Jones, city centre manager in Plymouth - which also boasts a London 2012 Live Site - added: "What better way to show your love this Valentine's Day than to broadcast it on our big screen?"
