Business broadband users 'could take advantage of foreign users'Foreign-language keywords can help business broadband users to boost their online marketing. ![]() Sam Tilson, expert and marketing director for Memorybits.co.uk, claimed that organisations moving their marketing online could capture local searches by using foreign language content and optimising for these keywords. He said that business broadband users will need to take into account auto-translate in order to take advantage of searches made in countries such as China and India. "If auto-translation takes off, which I think it will, it will still be necessary for sites to be found by foreign users in order to be translated," he added. Recent research by Internet World Statistics reported that there are 478 million English speakers who use the internet, compared to 384 million who speak Chinese. There were a total of 137 million Spanish users, 96 million Japanese speakers and 79 million who use French. Related Stories
