Farmers to enjoy better broadband connection
Avonline Broadband has teamed up with UK operator Avanti to offer a wider selection of broadband possibilities to farmers.

While those in the agricultural industry are being encouraged to carry out more of their operations online, this is often a struggle due to the remote location of their farms and the poor connections they experience.

FarmingUK reports this problem has been solved by Avonline Broadband's new selection of internet packages, which do not require a phone line or long waits for an upgrade.

Managing Director Mark Wynn was quoted as saying: "No one else in the UK can give such a specific service commitment and so many different options to farmers."

He added that his company, which is also the official satellite broadband partner to the National Farmers Union, had overcome the hurdles that have prevented this form of technology being widely accessible.

Individuals will be able to enjoy a typical download speed of at least 9Mbps across the Avanti customer base.
