KC has welcomed news that it has been shortlisted for five prizes at the 2012 Internet Service Providers' Association (ISPA) Awards.

Karoo, the company's home broadband product, is in the running for the consumer fixed broadband and customer service awards, while KC has also been nominated for the internet safety and security category.

In addition, the telecoms firm is on the list for the best business customer service and best internet telephony prizes at the ISPA Awards, which will take place in London on July 3rd.

Kevin Walsh, chief executive of KC, said it is a "great achievement" to be nominated for so many awards given the competitive nature of the broadband industry.

"Last year we were recognised with an ISPA award for providing outstanding service," he added.

"We're constantly striving to improve so hopefully we'll be able to maintain that title and win even more this year."

Plusnet has also picked up five nominations, while other companies in the running include Be Broadband, Hyperoptic and Virgin Media.
