New broadband package contributing to superfast business rollout
Following the recent announcement that one million premises in the UK are currently benefiting from access to superfast broadband, a business internet connectivity package claiming to be the country's cheapest has been launched.

The package is from Axis for Business and promises speeds of up to 40Mbps for companies that sign up to it, for a cost of £12.50 for the first six months, with this sum then increasing to £24.99.

Last month, it was announced by the government that one million homes and businesses in the UK now have access to superfast internet connections, thanks to the work of various rollout programmes and network providers.

At the time of the announcement, Culture Secretary Sajid Javid commented: "For businesses, superfast speeds are boosting profits through increased sales, reduced overheads and accessing markets abroad for the first time."

Environment Secretary Elizabeth Truss added upgrading to the superfast service helps to change the way businesses and consumers use the web, "securing a better future for Britain".
