O2 has explained the benefits of its Pop Up Office proposition, which offers businesses the opportunity to benefit from 4G superfast mobile broadband technology across multiple gadgets.

The solution works by using 4G to create a mobile Wi-Fi network capable of delivering high-speed connectivity to up to ten devices simultaneously, even if those devices are not 4G-enabled.

Zoe Hominick, Head of Small and Medium-Sized Business Marketing at O2, said the service offers its users speed and the ability to upload or download large files, even if they do not have a reliable fixed broadband connection.

"That makes it ideal for temporary shops, festivals, exhibition stands, construction sites, or when you're visiting an office with no guest Wi-Fi access," she explained.

O2 launched its 4G service in Bradford, Leeds and London at the end of August, initially reaching up to five million people.

By the end of this year, the operator plans to roll out 4G to 13 cities, including Birmingham, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Manchester.
