Orange and T-Mobile spark 'communication revolution'
Plans to run two of Britain's biggest mobile providers as one company will create a "communication revolution", it has been claimed.

Tom Alexander, chief executive of Everything Everywhere, the holding company that will run Orange and T-Mobile, said: "Through our scale and Britain’s only super-network with its unsurpassed coverage and capacity, we will be leading this revolution, giving customers instant access to everything, everywhere."

T-Mobile, which does not offer fixed-line services, is expected to enter the home broadband network to compete with the likes of O2 and Vodafone.

The two brands will continue to operate separately on the high street, with each having its own shops, marketing campaigns and service centres.

Everything Everywhere hopes to increase its wireless network of hotspots, while Orange and T-Mobile customers will soon be able to roam between the two brands' networks at no extra cost.

The new enlarged company has a customer base of some 30 million mobile and broadband users.
