Rhymney gains superfast broadband access
Residents in the Welsh town of Rhymney are set to benefit from improved internet loading speeds as fibre optic broadband arrives in the area.

The high-speed technology has been delivered to local homes and businesses thanks to the Superfast Cymru rollout initiative, which aims to connect 96 per cent of premises in Wales to better broadband before summer 2016.

Deputy Minister for Skills and Technology and Welsh Assembly Member Julie James commented: "Superfast broadband has the ability to change the way we live our lives.

"It's great news that residents and businesses in Rhymney are the latest to benefit."

However, Superfast Cymru Programme Director Ed Hunt added that there is still "a long way to go" before the connectivity project's target is met in just under two years' time.

Rhymney residents are being urged to contact any internet service provider to find out how to upgrade to the fibre network and benefit from significantly improved web access.
