Virgin Media business targets small firms with new broadband packages
Virgin Media Business is launching three new broadband packages designed to help smaller firms take full advantage of their communications infrastructure.

The first of the new products, Red Value, is aimed at digitally aware companies and delivers speeds of up to 50Mbps.

Red Speed is geared towards the digitally enabled and provides 152Mbps connectivity – making it one of the fastest services on the market – while Red Performance offers 30-100Mbps speeds and is targeted at digitally dependent businesses.

Furthermore, Red Performance boasts the same upstream and downstream speed and capacity, along with a six-hour Service Level Agreement.

The launch coincides with the publication of new research from Virgin Media Business that shows a quarter of smaller firms feel a lack of understanding about digital technologies was one of their biggest challenges while starting up.

Pauline Trotter at Ovum commented: "It goes without saying that small businesses want value for money and reliability from their communications service provider.

"But many need so much more, since they do not typically have ready access to IT and ecommerce skills in-house."
