Virgin Media has powerful brand ideals, says boss
Virgin Media plans to focus on its cable broadband customers over the coming year and continue the success of 2010.

That is according to chief executive Neil Berkett, who spoke after the company published strong financial results for the past 12 months.

The Virgin Media network is unique in its offerings, he said, as well as having a "relentless" focus on subscribers.

"With the rollout of our ultra-fast 100Mb broadband across our growing cable infrastructure, we will further accelerate our lead in next generation services and meet the ever-growing demand for greater connectivity," the exec stated.

It plans to do so by implementing its strong brand ideals that make it possible to deliver a one-off experience to customers both at home and while on the move.

Local authorities looking to bring super-fast broadband to their constituencies might be keen to get involved in the next round of trials offered by the government, with bids required to be delivered by April 2011.
