Virgin Media 'to offer 100Mb broadband bundle'
Leading broadband provider Virgin Media has announced it is launching a broadband bundle that offers users 100Mb internet access.

It stated that this is 24 times higher than the average speed, which it puts down to the introduction of its fibre optic cabling.

Neil Berkett, chief executive officer at the company, claimed that there is nothing the company cannot do with its network infrastructure.

He said: "Just as we led the way by launching the UK's first-ever next generation service, we want to keep giving our customers the very best broadband available."

Mr Berkett added that the company will continue to invest in technological innovations.

He stated that this is an historic moment that will allow the UK to compare favourably with other leading broadband nations.

Earlier this week, Virgin Media announced that it would be launching a new service for mobile internet users that is designed to help those wanting to access the web while travelling overseas.
