Dalmore is first Highlands and Islands village to get fibre broadband
Super-fast broadband has been rolled out to the remote Scottish village of Dalmore.

The rollout, which was made possible by financial support from the European Rural Broadband Challenge Fund, has been carried out to increase the understanding of bringing super-fast broadband directly to people's homes, reports the Stornoway Gazette.
Installing fibre optic cables is relatively expensive due to the cost of digging trenches and laying ducts, but the technology is generally seen as the most future-proof broadband solution.
The broadband network was designed and built by engineering consultancy Atkins, which will also provide ongoing operational support.
Neil Watt, project director at Atkins, said: "The information we've gathered from the pilot will assist us in our ongoing work to provide modelling, procurement, commercial and technical support for the rollout of next-generation broadband projects for Scotland."
Local resident Eileen Macdonald added the arrival of fibre optic broadband in Dalmore before any other Highlands and Islands community is "very exciting".
