Entanet joins govt broadband voucher scheme
Wholesale communications provider Entanet has revealed that it is participating in the Department for Culture, Media and Sport's Broadband Connection Vouchers scheme.

This initiative allows companies in Phase 1 of the government's SuperConnected Cities initiative to receive financial help when they subscribe to superfast broadband services.

Firms with fewer than 250 employees and turnover of £40 million or less can apply for vouchers to cover issues like planning, site preparation and installation up to the value of £3,000.

Product Manager at Entanet Paul Heritage-Redpath said: "We're delighted to support anything which helps hard-pressed businesses succeed. It's also good to see that the scheme recognises the importance of stability, not just headline speed."

The first wave of SuperConnected Cities was announced in March 2012 and included Manchester, Belfast and Cardiff, with funding of £100 million allocated for the project. The second batch was revealed in December that year and included Aberdeen, Derby and York. A further £50 million was set aside for this part of the initiative.
