TalkTalk tech chief announces network security trial launch
The managing director of TalkTalk Technology has confirmed the company is looking for customers to trial its new network security product.

Writing on the official TalkTalk blog, Clive Dorsman explained the broadband bundle provider needs existing subscribers to step forward and test the facility, which includes parental controls and anti-malware alerts.

The first of these services enables account holders to restrict the types of webpages that users in the household can visit, including the option to block categories such as adult, gambling and violent content.

Anti-malware alerts are designed to warn people if a website they head to contains a virus.

"We believe it's a great product and will make the internet safer for all of our customers," Mr Dorsman remarked.

He has previously stated the service is intended to stop "the bad stuff before it gets into your home in the first place".

When the trial is complete, TalkTalk plans to make the network security package available to its subscribers free of charge.
