A new high street electronics retailer is set to showcase Virgin Media's home broadband technology in its stores.

Virgin's range of home digital products will be on show at the Best Buy stores, with interactive demonstrations designed to make it easier for consumers to understand the benefits of a connected home.

The first Best Buy outlet will open its doors next month in Thurrock, Essex, followed by additional stores in Hedge End near Southampton and Merry Hill in the West Midlands in June.

Consumers in Aintree and Croydon will also be able to view the Virgin broadband products at new Best Buy stores over the coming months.

Commenting on the partnership with Virgin Media, Best Buy UK merchandising director Harry Parmar said: "Together we can allow Best Buy's customers to truly experience all the benefits of a connected digital home - first hand.

"Central to creating the fully-connected digital home is the availability of super-fast home broadband."

Last month, Virgin Media marked ten years of home broadband in the UK with the installation of a new laser-based artwork at London's South Bank gallery.
