Mobile Broadband

Whether you are considering mobile broadband as an alternative to a home broadband connection or simply want internet on the move, the wide range of deals available means there is mobile broadband package out there for everyone.

Choosing the right package needn't become a headache. Spend just a few minutes thinking about what you want from your mobile broadband service and you are sure to find the right deal.

Comparing the mobile broadband packages offered by different service providers is a good way to begin your search. Start by choosing one of the five tabs on the home page.

The first tab is a general option that gives an overview all of the mobile broadband packages available. From this screen it is possible to change the search results displayed by using a drop-down box or tick boxes.

The list of packages is organised to show the best selling deals first, however you may choose to order the results to by a range of options including price, connection speed or set-up costs. You can even choose to only view results from a specific provider if you already have a particular network in mind.

The second tab displays all mobile broadband deals which are currently available with a free laptop as part of a pay monthly package. Free laptop packages are primarily designed for people who do not already have a computer to use in conjunction with a mobile broadband connection.

The third tab displays all deals that have fixed term pay monthly contracts. Typically a pay monthly contract will last from 12 to 24 months, with longer contracts attracting a lower monthly fee. Arranging the packages by minimum contract period using the drop-down box will help you find a contract that suits your needs.

Pay monthly mobile broadband is a great solution for anyone who wants the flexibility to test mobile broadband, or is likely to be an occasional user. To browse pay as you go deals, click the fourth tab. Choosing a pay as you go mobile broadband package will usually require you to buy a USB modem and then top-up your account by buying a few gigabytes of data allowance whenever you need it.

The final tab lists the cheapest mobile broadband packages available, making it a good place to start for anyone on a strict budget.

Mobile broadband does not require a fixed telephone line of any kind, making it ideal for anyone who does not have a home telephone. Whether or not you can receive a mobile broadband signal will depend on network coverage however and this can vary between the different providers.

To check that coverage is available in the area where you plan to use your mobile broadband connection, enter your postcode into the broadband checker box when looking at the deals listed under any of the Free laptops, Pay monthly, Pay as you go or Cheap mobile broadband tabs. This will filter the results to only show deals available from service providers who provide coverage in that postcode area.

When you have found a package which you think will suit your needs, click the See Deal button to be taken to the provider's website and sign up.
