Broadband bundles can save money, says expert
Consumers have been urged to consider choosing broadband bundles in a bid to cut their outgoings.

Freelance IT journalist Ben Camm-Jones said combining a home broadband connection with TV and calls packages could help to reduce costs, advising: "Consider whether you'd be better off bundling more than one service together in order to save money."

Mr Camm-Jones went on to stress shoppers should think about more than just the monthly price of a broadband deal before deciding which internet service provider (ISP) to sign up with.

For instance, the technology expert said connection speeds are also an issue and recommended making use of the line-speed checkers on ISPs' websites before committing.

Highlighting the importance of broadband speeds, Virgin Media recently called on its rival providers to stop advertising what it described as "misleading" headline rates.

The company found 93 per cent of consumers believe ISPs should not be allowed to make speed claims unless they can be received by the majority of subscribers.
