Consumers still have time to sign up for three months of free home broadband with BT.

The telecoms giant's promotion on its Broadband and Anytime Calls package, in which subscribers only need to pay their £9.49 line rental for the first three months, is due to expire on October 1st 2010.

Prospective customers who move fast enough to take advantage of this discounted broadband bundle will have to pay £15.99 per month once this initial period has passed - down from the regular price of £19.99.

This deal includes broadband with download speeds of up to 20Mb/s and a 10GB monthly usage allowance, as well as unlimited anytime calls to UK landlines - including 0845 and 0870 numbers.

Subscribers wishing to sign up for this offer will need to commit to an 18-month contract.

Earlier this month, BT announced it has connected 113 new street cabinets across Essex to its fibre optic broadband network over the summer months.
