PlusNet boosts download speeds of its Value broadband deal
PlusNet has increased the maximum speed of its entry-level broadband proposition, without raising its price.

The PlusNet Value package is now available with download speeds of up to 20Mb/s, bringing it in line with the service provider's Extra and Pro deals.

Anyone who now signs up for the offer will automatically be given the fastest available speed for their area, while consumers with an existing Value account will be included in the company's bulk upgrade programme.

Apart from the new, quicker download capability, the Value package remains unchanged. This means that people who take out this agreement will still get 10GB of usage a month, as well as a free wireless router worth £40.

PlusNet is currently also offering three months free broadband for new customers, although anyone who wants to take advantage of this promotion will need to act fast as it expires on August 31st 2010.

The regular price of this deal is £6.49, although those who live outside a "low-cost area" will be charged £12.99 after the first three months.
