TalkTalk HomeSafe controls praised in Loved by Parents Awards
TalkTalk's HomeSafe parental controls have picked up Gold status in the Loved by Parents Awards' Best Technology Accessory category.

A panel of parents tested HomeSafe over a three-month period and the product was eventually handed the accolade following a public vote.

Free for all TalkTalk broadband customers to use, the service operates at network level, which means it offers protection against inappropriate content on any device connected in the home.

It can be personalised to suit the individual needs of any family, with options to block websites featuring pornography, self-harm and gambling, plus a facility that allows parents to stop their kids accessing online distractions like gaming sites and social networks when they should be doing homework.

More than one million TalkTalk households have already activated the controls.

Alex Birtles, Head of External Communications at TalkTalk, said: "The testing criteria is put together by a selection of mums and dads ... and we're thrilled to report that HomeSafe scored highly in all categories."
