Sky phone numbers: How to contact Sky

There are a wide variety of reasons to contacts Sky. Perhaps you're thinking of becoming a customer. Perhaps you're already a customer and you want to upgrade? Perhaps you have a billing or technical issue, or you're moving house or thinking of switching? So many reasons.
But not ever need is addressed with just one number. If you're an existing customer with a technical issues, for example, that's a different number to the one you're best calling if you're thinking of signing up as a new customer and want to get the best deal.
Sky actually doesn't want you contacting its customer services over the phone, and goes to some trouble to conceal this number in the deepest depths of its website. So before we get into those other numbers, let's save you time and give the vast majority of you the one you're looking for. Sky's customer service number, for existing Sky customers, is 0333 759 2466.
Bear in mind this is the best number if you're already a Sky customer. If you're looking to take out a new Sky deal over the phone, you'll need to contact experts working with Sky whose job it is specifically to find you the best deal. That number is 0330 221 9427.

Sky customer service phone number
As outlined in the intro, Sky really gives the impression it doesn't want its customer calling them. It does this by hiding its customer service numbers beneath layers of online FAQs where you have to consistently tell it 'I still need help' before it finally shows you the page containing the number, and even then you have to click 'reveal' to show it' as it is naturally hidden.
Even when you call the number, a robot will ask you to speak your issue before directing your call just as badly as you'd expect from a robot. As bad as all of this is in terms of being consumer-friendly, this is the only number they openly (read: secretly) offer.
Sky deals and offers phone number
Thankfully, if you're after a new Sky Broadband, TV or bundle deal, we have a separate number you can call. It's dead easy to get straight through to the team that can help you too, since finding you the best Sky deal is pretty much all they do. That number is 0330 221 9427.
Sky technical help phone number
There are a wide variety of reasons why you might want to call Sky for technical help. Hopefully you'll never have to, but if you do, again, Sky doesn't exactly make it easy to find the number to call them and would far rather you exhaust their online help before doing so. To find that number you'll need to log in to your Sky account. Once you're there, you'll need to go to your products page and click 'Get help'. The number is 0333 759 2466.
This is far from ideal, especially considering the 'get help' link wasn't even working when we tested it at the time of writing.

You can call Sky directly to get a new broadband, TV or bundle deal from Sky, but we wouldn't advise it. Sky wants you to sign up online without using their call centre resources. This will be the same number you call if you manually need to make a payment, and with all the same caveats. Sky would rather you found an answer to your issue using their online help resources or live chat. Phone number for Sky installation issues
If you're getting a brand new line installed, or having Full Fibre installed at your home for the first time, you'll get a visit from a Sky technician, and they will ensure they don't leave without everything working. However, if you're just getting Sky Stream (TV), or switching to Sky Broadband with no new line necessary you'll get your kit in the post and there's therefore a possibility you hit some sort of snag in the setup.

The deals team can help you with any specific requirements you have for your Virgin Media package – that includes getting Sky premium channel bundles included from day one. The number for the new deals team is 0300 131 9989. Just bear in mind that Sky premium channel packages aren't cheap. Knowing that going in will save you from the potential sticker shock.
Phone number for getting a Sky TV deal with Sky Sports or Sky Cinema
If you're already a Sky customer and just want to add TV to your existing account, or add additional services to your Sky TV account like Sky Sports or Sky Cinema, you are, in this instance, far better off logging into your Sky account and upgrading from there.
If you're not a Sky customer already, and want to sign up anew to a package containing Sky Sports and/or Sky Cinema, you can call the new deals team on 0330 221 9427. They work with Sky to find you exactly the package or bundle that's right for you.
What's the phone number to cancel my Sky contract?
You don't need to contact Sky to cancel your services if you're just switching to another provider. If that's what you're doing you only need to sign up to a new provider and everything will happen automatically.
However, you'll need to be sure you're no longer in your contract period. If you're not, you will need either to wait, or to pay early exit fees for the privilege of leaving. That's not just a Sky thing. All providers operate similarly in this respect.
If you are out of contract and don't necessarily want to switch, you may also consider calling Sky to discuss getting contract renewal deal. You can tell them you're considering switching – that will usually mean Sky will offer you the best deal available to tempt you to stay. Can I call Sky for free?
No. Sky does actually have a freephone number for its customer services department. However, its own information labels this number as its 'outbound' number – meaning it doesn't want to accept calls from customers on it. Calling this number will present you with a recorded message telling you that Sky tried to contact you. We are including it here in this guide only so that if you see this number has called, we can indeed confirm that call was from Sky.

What number should I call to get a Sky TV deal?
Sky is the only subscription TV provider in the traditional sense that allows you to get TV on its own. TV subscription deals from the likes of BT/EE, Virgin Media and TalkTalk won't let you get TV without taking out their broadband.
