BT rolls out flexible high-speed comms service in Scotland
Businesses in Scotland have become the latest to take advantage of a new flexible high-speed communications proposition from BT.

The telecoms giant's Ethernet network is designed to generate efficiency savings for a range of organisations, from retailers to schools.

Available in the towns of Turriff in Aberdeenshire and Lockerbie in Dumfries and Galloway, the technology allows business customers to choose from a range of guaranteed broadband speeds across multiple sites via a dedicated line.

As well as Lockerbie and Turriff, the service has launched in more than 100 communities, while the company is also planning to extend the Ethernet infrastructure to Anstruther in Fife and Hawick in the Scottish Borders by next spring.

Brendan Dick, director of BT Scotland, said: "BT is the only company consistently investing in a mixture of faster next-generation broadband and Ethernet services both in and outside the nation's major urban areas."

The communications firm has also rolled out the technology in East Sussex, Essex and Suffolk this week.
