Hereford business park benefits from broadband switch-on
Hereford Enterprise Zone's has just switched on its new fibre optic broadband connection for the first time.

A collaboration between Fastershire and the executives behind the enterprise area has seen businesses across Hereford benefit from faster download speeds.

HR4, which provides project support services, is among the companies set to profit from the switch-on.

The firm's director Roger Peacock told the Hereford Times: "Superfast broadband services allow us to work more effectively with our consultants and clients wherever they are in the world and to use new technologies and working techniques to be even more productive."

Enterprise zones, which were created by the coalition government earlier this Parliament, offer companies reduced business rates and a number of other incentives and are often located in areas with low employment levels.

The zones have regularly been among the first to benefit from high-speed internet projects, which have sought to make the UK's private sector more competitive.
