Bradford residents welcome fibre broadband
Homes and businesses in Bradford city centre have been given a significant boost in their connectivity after being introduced to fibre optic broadband.

Thousands already have access to the superfast service and that figure is expected to rise to as much as 44,000, with BT engineers continuing to carry out essential installation works over the coming weeks.

Chief Executive of Bradford Chamber Sandie Needham was wholly positive about the new network, claiming it will bring widespread benefits that will be felt in social, economic and educational circles.

She commented: "Broadband is an essential part of Bradford’s present and future. It’s vital that we embrace this latest generation of technology in order for our local economy to remain competitive."

Bradford city centre will now be on an even keel with other nearby areas such as Bingley and Shipley, which have already been connected to superfast speeds, thanks to the government's Broadband Delivery UK scheme.
