EE says launch of 4G in Sale offers boost to residents and businesses
EE says the arrival of 4G super-fast mobile broadband in Sale, Greater Manchester will offer significant benefits to both local businesses and residents.

The service went live in the area last week as part of a move that saw the network operator launch 4G in a total of 12 towns. Three other north-west communities - Ashton-under-Lyne, Oldham and Wigan - were also included in the rollout.

Jason Salt, EE's Regional Manager for Manchester and Lancashire, explained the operator has been investing in improvements to its 2G and 3G services as well as the launch of 4G, reports the Messenger.

This spending appears to be paying off, with RootMetrics recently ranking EE as the fastest mobile broadband provider in Manchester.

"The expansion of 4G mobile broadband services in Greater Manchester is a great benefit to local businesses and residents who will be able to do more on the move with the arrival of these higher speeds," Mr Salt commented.

EE's 4G network already covers 74 towns and cities across the UK, with more than 50 per cent of homes and businesses now able to access the service.
