New north-west contracts announced by BT Business
BT Business has signed contracts worth £9 million with Odeon and European Metal Recycling.
The telecoms company may have been busy rolling out superfast fibre optic broadband to both residential and commercial properties throughout the UK in recent years, but elsewhere within the organisation, its business division has been working to secure contracts with major brands.
Following BT's role as lead sponsor at the International Festival for Business (IFB), it is to provide Wi-Fi at 125 Odeon cinemas across the UK and Ireland, while also upgrading the networks used by Warrington-based European Metal Recycling. In addition, BT will provide a new data centre for the latter.
These announcements were made at an event in Liverpool, which marked the end of the IFB.
Managing Director of UK Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises at BT Business Danny Longbottom commented: "Having spent a lot of time at the IFB, I've seen the value it's delivered first hand and have no doubt the experience will bring long-term benefits."
