Broadband provider Virgin Media has World Cup offer
Broadband bundle specialist Virgin Media has announced a new digital TV offer that will have high-definition (HD) service installed in time for the World Cup.

The home broadband provider will guarantee that anyone signing up for one of its packages before May 21st will be able to watch all the games in HD.

Virgin Media's V HD Box offers customers "the full experience of high definition television with no fuss and no additional HD subscription", according to the company.

Prices start from £23 a month when taken out with a Virgin phone line.

A study by Which? found that around a quarter of homes already have access to HD television services, while Virgin Media enjoyed some 200 million views of its separate on demand TV content in the first three months of 2010.

Virgin Media recently announced that it paid back £178 million worth of corporate debt, bringing the total amount of debt repaid in the last three years to over £800 million.
