Leading broadband provider Sky has launched a free £50 voucher offer to entice consumers.

New customers of leading broadband provider Sky could be in for a pleasant bonus as they sign up for the company's services.

Individuals who sign up online for Sky's broadband, digital television and home phone service before March 25th are being given the chance to get their hands on a £50 Marks & Spencer voucher as a welcome gift.

In order to receive the voucher, customers are required to activate their Sky TV viewing card by April 25th.

The move represents the latest salvo in the hot competition between the country's leading broadband providers as they look to gain an increasing market share.

Meanwhile, broadband provider TalkTalk has said it is making service improvements that could result in its customers reaching speeds of up to 24Mbps.

The group confirmed it is working on the multi-million-pound final phase of upgrading its backhaul network.
