Go Ape invests in broadband solution
Go Ape has announced the investment of £30,000 into high-speed broadband.

The firm's chief executive, Jerome Mayhew, said that sluggish downloads were a threat to his company's business model and that the sum invested in a fibre-optic line would help to create 100 jobs this year.

Go Ape recently moved its headquarters to the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds, but poor infrastructure meant it had to lay its own cabling - something that set it back £30,000, reports EDP 24.

Mr Mayhew stated: "It is an incredible frustration and it really holds back the rural economy. It funnels all the job creation into Cambridge and Norwich - jobs that would otherwise be spread more evenly."

Go Ape currently operates 30 locations around the UK, but plans international expansion in the US and Russia in the coming years if it can raise the appropriate amount of investment capital.
