Superfast North Yorkshire helps 1,000th firm realise broadband benefits
The Business Support Programme run by Superfast North Yorkshire has educated its 1,000th firm about the benefits of a better broadband connection.

Staff from sportswear startup Pro-Am Kits have taken part in the rollout scheme's training sessions to learn how high-speed fibre optic broadband could enhance business productivity.

Managing Director of the firm Dan Hodgson explained taking part in the programme had allowed the company to develop a new digital strategy and launch a new marketing campaign, which has so far proved successful in attracting new customers.

He commented: "Having high-speed broadband definitely removes the barriers to doing business in the digital world like online trading and helps put you on an equal footing with larger businesses."

However, Mr Hodgson added none of this would have been possible without learning the required skills throughout the Business Support Programme.

Superfast North Yorkshire launched the training project at the start of 2013 and has since helped hundreds of companies in the county connect to a significantly better broadband service.
