BT deploys fibre optic broadband in Rugby
The technology will be available to around 20,000 local properties.

Approximately 20,000 homes and businesses in Rugby will be able to take advantage of the service when the telecoms giant completes its work in the coming weeks.
The town is the latest part of the county to benefit from BT's rollout of fibre broadband, following deployments in Earlsdon, Kenilworth, Leamington Spa, Nuneaton and Warwick.
And John Dovey, the company's regional director for the West Midlands, said "many more" Warwickshire residents can look forward to receiving faster speeds in the future.
"The advent of BT fibre-based broadband in Rugby will support local jobs and the local economy and is a vital part of BT's broadband plans," he added.
Elsewhere in the West Midlands, the organisation is planning to bring the technology to the towns of Oswestry in Shropshire and Stourport in Hereford and Worcester by spring 2012.
BT has pledged to spend up to £2.5 billion on increasing the size of its fibre optic broadband network.
