TalkTalk sees fibre optic growth
TalkTalk added 35,000 new fibre optic broadband customers in the fourth quarter of 2013.

A new interim management statement revealed this figure, as well as a wider year-on-year revenue growth of 5.1 per cent.

TalkTalk has been one of the companies - along with other big telecoms firms like BT and Virgin Media - to invest heavily in new fibre optic networks and it seems this approach may be paying off.

Dido Harding, Chief Executive of TalkTalk, said: "We are delighted with the material step up in our revenue growth during the quarter. We are on track to deliver our FY14 guidance and our medium-term targets."

Yesterday (February 4th 2014), TalkTalk also announced it will extend its partnership with Sky, which currently provides it with a range of TV channels and content - including Sky Sports and Sky Arts.

Executives at TalkTalk welcomed this news, stating it cements its place as a great option for families looking at improving their entertainment package.
